Assistant Director for Support, GLOBSEC GeoTech Center at the GLOBSEC US Foundation

The GLOBSEC GeoTech Center is a new initiative of the GLOBSEC US Foundation led by General John R. Allen. The Center conducts research, policy, and analytical work, organizes convening events, and builds a network connecting technology and policy leaders from Europe, the United States and other parts of the world. The GLOBSEC GeoTech Center will intellectually and administratively run from within the GLOBSEC US Foundation located in Washington D.C. while relying on experts and contributors from throughout Europe – Brussels, Prague, Warsaw, Berlin, and other locations.

The Center’s mission is two-fold:

  • The Center seeks to help Europe increase its capacity to create, shape, scale, and absorb critical technologies on a much faster timeline than the current trends suggest.
  • The Center aims to help align Europe and the U.S. in their approaches to future-defining technologies.

The Center will structure its work along the three lines of effort: software for national security, digital technologies for democracy, and critical enabling infrastructure (data centers, connectivity infrastructure, sustainable energy, and other elements).
